The time has come once again...after a hiatus last year, we were back this year for our 12th Little Linksters Best Pee Wee Golf Swing in the World Video Contest!

Like in years past, we had amazing entries, and particularly this year in the younger age groups...it was not an easy task for our judges!

It is important for kids and parents to know that the true purpose of this contest is not at all about winning, but rather, as with everything Little Linksters does, is to have fun. This contest is proof positive that golf, among the youngest of golfers, is alive and well, and we want to celebrate this by showing the world your child’s swing!

We understand that with any contest, individuals will be very excited about the chances of winning, but please keep in mind that all of the kids are winners by having a club in their little hands at such a young age! Keep in mind that this game just so happens to be one that can be played for a lifetime…with all this in perspective, we hope you enjoyed making your videos with your little ones and, as always, enjoyed the time with your family!

Golf coaches: How often do students come to you looking to improve aspects of their play?

I hear it all the time: “Coach, I really want to improve my greens in reg” or “how can I better hone my short game?”

Sure, you can work on certain things in lessons, but overall there’s only so much you can accomplish in the limited blocks of time we have.

This is where I think @Ikonikgolf nails it— and it starts with process training. With this method I test a player in the discipline they’re looking to improve on, teach technique through the app, train movement patterns, and then retest to gauge improvement and see where we need to go next. All of this happens through either a fully remote or mix of in-person and remote coaching over the course of a period of weeks.

Over the next 4 weeks I'll share more about how I used Ikonik to launch a 4-week Kids at Home Program for my students. Penny had another great opportunity to have her golf swing reviewed by the likes of the great Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorrenstam, Jordan Speith, - and the top coaches for kids across the world, from Brendon Elliott, Michelle Holmes, Jason Helmen, Tom Reid and Zoe Allen.

That in itself is a great honour, and what a great contest to connect the community and help to grow the game.

Penny placed 2nd within her age group of 3-4 across the globe.

The judges had a very difficult time making their picks...lots of great looking swings out there! As coaches, we know that a swing is only part of the equation as to the talent a junior golfer has...but this contest is not about that...its rooted in having fun making your videos, it's about showcasing all the kids, worldwide that play and enjoy the game, first and foremost!

The parents of the winners from each age group will be contacted in the coming days with more details...

Our primary mission is to expose kids...ALL KIDS...to golf, that includes those with Special Needs through our GOALS program. However, the mission of our GOALS program goes well beyond kiddos with special needs...we want to impact kids through golf that would not normally have the chance...Minority children, kids in low income family situations, young ladies, sick children enduring long hospital stays, and foster children was another avenue we have spoke about as an organization in the past...Golf is for ALL and not just because we feel kids should learn the game but rather they deserve to be exposed to the life changing gifts 🎁 that golf teaches...Life values such as integrity, honesty, self confidence and countless other values that serve as ammunition for growing happier, stronger and more confident kids...We would love to use the $10K to start a scholarship in the name of Bubba and Angie Watson to allow chosen foster kids in Central Florida that want to explore golf in 2019!! #SeasonOfGiving #ForTheKids
