Kevin O’Brien
Little Linksters Certified Golf Coach
Kevin is a native Floridian, raised right here in Central Florida. He started playing golf when he was old enough to hold a club. He played Junior High golf and was a star golfer on all his teams, leading his teams to back-to-back district titles and an undefeated season. His father was a Class A PGA professional from 1972 thru 1982 and he learned the fundamentals and rules of the game from his father. He applies that golf knowledge to young boys and girls with an emphasis on the fundamentals of the golf swing, putting and chipping. He believes all kids at an early age should be taught the rules and etiquette of the game as well. Kevin is always encouraging and positive when it comes to the development of young aspiring golfers. He understands that golf is more than just hitting a ball. It’s about competing fairly, making new friends and having fun. He also believes in the teaching of real life values that golf teaches us (integrity, honesty and the joy of competition). Kevin also emphasizes the importance of playing the game for a lifetime and the friends and relationships it creates over the years. The future golf stars of the game need guidance, structure and a strong work ethnic, with the most important aspect of golf being to have fun.
