The Little Linksters Association for Junior Golf Development will be the vehicle that will launch the acclaimed Little Linksters Golf Program to areas nationwide in 2012. PGA Professional Brendon Elliott is the founder of Little Linksters, LLC and the developer of the Little Linksters program designed for kids 3-8 years of age. Elliott, a 2010 US Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teacher and the 2011 NFPGA Junior Golf Leader award winner developed the program in 2008 in the greater Orlando area. From the beginning, Elliott had a desire to have PGA & LPGA Professionals nationwide share in his vision by introducing kids 3-8 to golf in a streamlined, uniform and most importantly, FUN format. “Kids start golf far too late in life” explains Elliott. “Traditionally, kids are introduced to golf at age 9 or 10 and by then they have been exposed to so many other sports and activities. With all that the game of golf offers, the values and life lessons it teaches along with giving young children a sense of self discovery, accomplishment and individuality, we need to get kids into the game sooner…much, much sooner. That’s what Little Linksters does.”
The mission statement of the Little Linksters program:
“Through a fun and friendly learning environment, students will accomplish three major goals; which in turn will produce a passion and respect for the game of golf. Through our efforts each player will learn; how the game teaches real life lessons (patience, integrity, respect, honesty and friendship), an understanding of the basic fundamentals of golf, and finally how to enjoy the experience that the game of golf offers”

In July of 2011, Little Linksters founder, PGA Professional Brendon Elliott made the leap from his life of 13 plus years in the Golf Operations side of the business to deticate himself fully to teaching the game full time and seeing Little Linksters Association for Jr. Golf Devlopement grow to its full potential. That potential includes the future national expansion of Little Linksters which will start in small phases in 2012.
One major part of Little Linksters Association for Jr. Golf Development is the Little Linksters “Tour” Series. This is a very non-competitive introductory “Tour” series that sees events take place at various golf course in Central Florida. In July 2011, Orange County National Golf Club kicked off the series. In August 2011 the “Tour” moved to The Faldo Institute in Orlando, then followed by Timacuan Country club in Lake Mary. Some very exciting news will be released soon in regards to some of the “Tour” stops in 2012.
In August of 2011 with the opening of the Little Linksters Golf Academy @ MetrowestGolf Club in Orlando, FL, Little Linksters found a new home base. This was a major step forward in the expansion plans and exciting things are in the works for the new location.
